Located just minutes away from West Virginia's historic downtown capitol city you will be a part of our experienced catering team helping to service over 10, 700 square feet of meeting space. This hotel is managed by Chesapeake Hospitality, a growing and award winning hotel and restaurant Management Company.

    Position Summary

    The purpose of this position is to ensure in helping with an efficient set up and take down of all event & meeting spaces. While maintaining a level of cleanliness that our guests have to come expect. Along with providing great customer service to all that use our facility for their event or meetings.


    • Set up and take down tables and chairs in meeting rooms
    • Vacuum and sweep meeting rooms along with surrounding hallways
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs when necessary
    • Retrieve and deliver food and drinks to guests in a professional and pleasant manner
    • Respond to guest questions and provide assistance when requested, continuously checking on their needs throughout the event and always dealing with them in a proactive manner.
    • Assist fellow team members with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, breaking down trays, etc.
    • Always check food before serving to a guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are indeed correctly up to standard.


    • An ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both team members and guests
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
    • Showing initiative, by being able to anticipate guest or operational needs
    • Must be detail-orientated with an ability to multitask, prioritize and work with a team
    • Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to work varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business needs dictate
    • Year plus of customer service experience is preferred
