    Part-time Bartender


    The DoubleTree by Hilton Laurel Hotel is hiring a Part-time Bartender for its Award Winning seafood restaurant EJ's Provision Co.! The restaurant offers a modern but old classic feel with a raw bar and delicious handcrafted drinks. Think oysters, crab, seasonal fresh fish all locally sources from the Chesapeake Bay.     Shift to include PM, Weekend, Holidays. Must be able to work Weekends.



    As a Bartender, you will be responsible for greeting customers, taking drink/food orders, mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks, as well as serving beer and other beverages, and completing transactions. You will be expected to help guests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.


    • Describes all menu items; methods of preparation and prices as needed. Works within policy to accommodate guest's special food requests. Documents legibly the guest's order information on guest checks.  
    • Up sells established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues.
    • Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
    • Performs pre- and post-shift sidework; stocks service station, makes coffee, etc.
    • Deliver food to guest room, greets guests, and prepare for future guests in a timely manner. 
    • Maintain a warm and friendly environment.
    • Perform cashier duties following both Chesapeake's and Hilton standards, while ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction. 
    • Thoroughly and correctly set up the bar prior to opening; makes sure bar is clean before and at the end of shift according to operational policies and standards to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. 
    • Completes necessary side-work as per schedule, this includes stocking and organizing all liquor, juices, glassware, paper, wines, cut fruit, etc. 
    • Knowledgeable about all menu items and beverages served, their garnish, contents and preparation methods. Can answer guest's questions regarding such with confidence and accuracy. 


    TIPS Certification

    Bartending experience required
