    Position Summary

    The Convention Services Manager is responsible for liaising between the hotel sales, the clients and operations departments to plan and execute successful events and oversee the swimming pool operation. This position requires a solid food and beverage background and exceptional managerial skills.

    Responsibilities

    Here's a few (but certainly not all) of the responsibilities of this position;

    • Confirm and coordinate all aspects of events, such as food and beverage requirements, room set-ups, timing of events, etc.;
    • Ensure Banquet Event Orders are accurate and provide all relevant information to departments giving them;
    • Estimate food and beverage consumption and demand and order accordingly;
    • Manage Pool Attendants and evaluate their job performance and coach as necessary.

    Qualifications

    You must have at least two years’ managerial experience, including at least one years' experience in a Food and Beverage supervisory position. You also must be flexible, versatile and able to work in a fast-paced and quick-changing environment.
