     Hotel Alba Tampa with Chesapeake Hospitality as the management company, is seeking a proven and dynamic Bell Person with strong customer service skills.

     

    Our hotel name is inspired by the rise of Tampa's cigar industry and will provide local experiences with true Southern hospitality. Our signature restaurant, the Spaniard, offers open-air dining and innovative dishes from locally sources ingredients. Our hotel lobby features Buffalo Bayou serving locally ground coffees, teas as well as serving craft cocktails. This hotel boasts 222 well-appointed guest rooms and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Located in the heart of Tampa's Westshore district, the hotel feels right at home surrounded by high-end residential neighborhoods and world-class shopping and dining. The hotel's art deco touches hearken back to a classic era where guests and customers always come first - a tradition the hotel proudly keeps alive to this day.

    Position Summary

    The bell person is primarily responsible for welcoming all guests to the hotel as well as bidding them farewell. The bell person is escorting guests to and from their accommodations, orienting them with the features of the property and their accommodations.

    Work with our Alba Host to ensure guests are taken care of.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Greet all guests in the lobby in a warm and professional manner, make them feel welcome and anticipate their needs before they arise. 
    • Take guests to and from the hotel to the airport.
    • Inform guests about all hotel and guest room features, hotel facilities and emergency procedures.
    • Assist guests with their luggage. Make deliveries to guest rooms as instructed. Store and retrieve luggage and other objects for guests. Be aware of daily hotel activities, group and VIP arrivals.
    • Communicate special guest requests to the Front Office Manager/Manager on Duty.
    • Ensure the lobby, bell closet and work areas as well as departmental equipment are clean and presentable at all times.
    • Offer assistance to all guests and provide them with information requested and directions,

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent
    required. Previous guest service, front door or bell service experience preferred.
    Previous customer service experience preferred.
