    Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with Chesapeake Hospitality as the management company, is seeking a proven and dynamic Maintenance Technician with exceptional and a proven mechanical and maintanence skills.

    Position Summary

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical structure as well as mechanical & operating systems of the hotel in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability


    • Assists with preventive maintenance including completion of the Checklist and completes minor repair work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep product quality to standard.
    • Ensure timely response to maintenance requests for services by guests, employees and management with the goal of keeping the maximum number of rooms available for occupancy.
    • Assists in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and/or replacements.
    • Assists in checking and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, kitchen and laundry equipment.
    • Refurbishes furniture fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes furniture and fixtures in guest rooms, if needed.
    • Assists Maintenance Technician, Senior Maintenance Technician, or the Maintenance Supervisor in any project as directed.
    • Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.


    • A positive attitude and the ability to work on a team.
    • 8th grade education or equivalent experience required.
    • 2+ years of progressive experience in a maintenance position in hospitality or similar industry.
    • Ability to exert of up to 75 pounds of force and lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and work indoors and outdoors.
